We are looking for a People Operations Manager that can help us take our People Ops Team to the next level in Asia Pacific. We work hard to deliver exceptional People Operations Services to our employees. Build the structure - Assist with the development, implementation and coordination of HR policies and programs across Asia Pacific (This role is not about running the plays from your standard corporate handbook – you’ll need to think outside of the box here.)
Hire top talent - Work collaboratively with our Senior Recruiter and global hiring managers to understand business objectives, role requirements and leveling. Provide training, coaching and general guidance to hiring managers on interviewing best practices when needed. Deliver ongoing interview training for interviewers and hiring managers.
Welcome to Sojern - Manage the new hire onboarding program and entire employee lifecycle for Asia Pacific
Help us learn - Assist with coordination of training, compliance efforts and professional development events, classes, etc.
Be the best – Help elevate our employee engagement and performance feedback program
Plan for our future - Participate in the development and implementation of employee retention, succession and workforce plans
Be truly international - Manage immigration processes and prepare immigration filings and internal transfers
Organize - Participate in developing and improving People Ops systems
Employee Engagement - Independently own all Employee Employment and Engagement activities
Socialize! - Coordinate employee meetings, gatherings and other events (we’re a social group so we have lots of them!)
Assess how we’re doing - Implement and utilize People Ops metrics to measure performance and make sure we’re on the right track
Time away – Manage employee leaves, Maternity, Paternity and Leave of Absences.
And yes, there’s the paperwork – Manage regional payroll preparation, offer letters, contracts, commission plans, transfers, IP agreements, etc.
Degree required, HR certification preferred
At least 6+ years of proven, progressive HR experience in a global fast moving and high growth environment
Working for a multinational company is a must
Startup experience is a plus
A strong knowledge of, and experience with, HR practices, immigration process, laws, and application for Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong and Indonesia
Experience coaching managers and employees through high scale growth
Superior understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality
Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
Experience using performance management, applicant tracking, and engagement surveys
Outstanding project management and communication skills
The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and to constantly re-prioritize
An extremely high sense of urgency and ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment
An outstanding focus on achieving a high level of customer service
A sense of humor and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone
Comfortable with metrics and interpreting what they mean
Must have strong experience using all Google Apps, PowerPoint, Applicant Tracking Systems, and Excel
This role will report to the Director, People Operations for EMEA and APAC
This role will be based in our Singapore Office.
