The role:

Do you want to plan and execute killer travel industry events, build localised marketing content, and empower our first-class commercial team with brilliant case studies and collateral? Sojern is looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to roll up their sleeves and dive in as our first full-time Marketing hire based in Singapore. This role will be varied and wide-ranging.

As the APAC Marketing Associate, you’ll be responsible for planning and managing all aspects of Sojern events across the Asia-Pacific region, devising tactics to develop deeper relationships with our key clients, and partnering with our sales teams to ensure our pitches and marketing materials resonate with the local market. Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, EMEA and APAC, you’ll be a key player in building our world-class marketing team vision and driving competitive advantage for Sojern.


The successful candidate will:

  • Localise and adapt Sojern sales collateral for the APAC market, including

    • Leveraging regional perspectives to refine our local positioning in sales materials, speaking topics, and more.

    • Staying on top of local metrics and external research to strengthen and enhance relevant narratives

  • Collaborate with sales leaders to build out an event strategy and execute events (including conference sponsorships, client roundtables, thought leadership panels, and partner events) to support regional sales goals, including:

    • Researching conferences in key markets

    • Negotiating contracts and coordinating event-related logistical details with vendors, managing this against the APAC events budget

    • Partnering with creative and digital teams to create pre-event promotions to drive awareness, attendance, and engagement

    • Attending conferences as on-site support to Sales team, where needed

    • Manage post-event evaluations and apply learnings and event successes to continually improve and develop event expertise

    • Provide post-event recaps that provide insights into the impact on our business

  • Execute client-specific Account-Based Marketing (ABM) efforts, in conjunction with the local sales team

  • Plan, organise, order, and distribute marketing collateral to the sales team in the regional APAC offices

  • Work directly with clients to develop case studies and potential partnership opportuniites


What you bring to the table:

  • 2+ years experience in a marketing role

  • Proven experience with event execution

  • Outgoing and passionate about customer experience, both internally and externally

  • Highly organised with excellent project, time management and multitasking skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Self-starter who works well independently, as well as under the direction of others;

  • Strong multicultural communications skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to work collaboratively with remote teams and/or executive presence

  • Experience in travel, hospitality or adtech a plus

  • Ability to travel (potentially 1-2 times per quarter)
