Responsibilities:

The Manager of Information Technology will be responsible for the day-to-day management of IT including project management, stability, security and support of all technology services and systems for organization. You will be responsible for coordinating global procurement of employee equipment including the provisioning and onboarding of 100+ employees a year globally.  The position reports to the Director of Financial Operations, and works with functional team leaders and teams to ensure that the IT operations are continuous, secure, accurate, current and well-utilized. You will help oversee Sojern’s colo facility in the Omaha area and help with computer set up in the Omaha offices and coordinate with IT points of contact in other global offices.  The position will also require regular work with the company’s business SaaS applications, middleware, and data warehouse.  The position has no direct reports but manages the delivery of services through a global outsourced vendor relationship.  The position is responsible for developing and executing the IT Strategic Plan & Security Policies through both internal and external resources:

Requirements:

  • Exceptional management and leadership skills, with strong operational focus
  • Flexible mindset with experience and desire to work in dynamic environment--if you are rigid and don’t like things to change, this not the role for you
  • Strong analytical and time management capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects at the same time
  • Experience with 3rd-party vendor management of Desktop and Network IT services
  • Experience monitoring & troubleshooting office network performance
  • Practical knowledge and experience with Windows (50% of environment) and Apple / Mac OS (50% of environment)
  • Practical knowledge and experience with GSuite, GMail, Google Drive, Google Enterprise and Google Sites Apps
  • If all of your experience (90%+) is with Microsoft Exchange and Windows PC’s, this won’t be the right job for you
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communication, leadership, supervision, planning, budgeting, negotiation of contracts, hardware and software procurement
  • Practical, “hands-on” experience with application integration technology
  • Can translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Serve as a liaison for staff and provide technology training along with as needed 1-on-1 follow-up
  • A minimum of five years in a management position with responsibility for IT Operations
  • Educational requirements: Associate’s degree in Information Technology Management or Computer Science, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Apple Genius Bar, Quality Assurance, System Backup or DBA experience a plus
