Sojern is travel’s direct demand engine for thousands of brands in the hotel, air, car, cruise, alternative lodging, and tourism industries with 10 offices around the world.


About the role:

Adphorus is looking for a Global Commercial Director based in our New York office to add to Sojern’s overall Global commercial team.  As Head of Global Sales for Adphorus you will be responsible for managing the day to day sales efforts in North America as well as general oversight of our Adphorus sales teams, strategies and activities in EMEA and APAC. You will report to the CEO of Adphorus and work closely with Sojern’s VP of Global Sales and Account Management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Devise, communicate and implement Adphorus’ Global Sales Strategy that aligns with overall company goals.

  • Build and enable strong relationships with Facebook globally for the whole sales team in order to facilitate lead generation through Facebook referrals.

  • Upgrade and execute the Adphorus sales training program for Adphorus and Sojern employees to ensure that new commercial employees  joining the team are on-boarded and developed to the highest level.

  • Monitor global competition and market activity and provide feedback and strategic and tactical recommendations to the executive team as well as strategic sellers in each region.

  • Compile and review quantitative sales data and react rapidly to changing trends or new competitive threats and/or opportunities in each of Sojern’s/Adphorus’ global regions.

  • Recruit new members for the sales team as strategy dictates and need arises.

  • Manage Customer Success Managers in the Americas who will then assist the Americas sales team with pre-sales activities, test implementation and technical selling activities.

  • Actively help your global sales teams in closing their deals while working in the field alongside them.

  • Work closely with the Sojern/Adphorus Marketing team to make sure you have all the sales collateral and key insights they need to be successful


Experience, Skills and Requirements:

10  years or more of work experience in the online advertising industry

  • Deep experience in Facebook Advertising is a MUST, with a minimum of 2+ years working for Facebook or an accredited Facebook Marketing Partner

  • Strong understanding of all Facebook and Instagram ad offerings

  • The ability to travel up to 60% of the time (half within the Americas and half in EMEA and APAC.

  • Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Embraces challenges and acts in a solution oriented manner

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills  

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote

  • Bachelor's degree
