About the role:

Sojern is seeking a passionate and talented sales and business development professional to join Sojern’s growing EMEA sales team based in one of our offices: Dublin or London.

This role positions and sells Sojern’s marketing solutions to qualified small to medium sized organisations in the travel industry, with a focus on hotels, in the EMEA markets.

This is a proactive business development role requiring previous sales experience, prospecting, pipeline management and conversion skills. You will be managing the full sales acquisition cycle for your assigned market, and continuously will be growing in this ever changing industry.


  • Develop and own assigned markets in which to prospect and engage qualified boutique and independent hotels, chains and agencies to position and sell Sojern’s digital advertising solutions

  • Achieve and exceed monthly targets through a combination of new property acquisitions and opportunistic upsells, 12 -14 new wins per month

  • Adopt a consultative sales approach, to identify customers’ pain points and analyse their needs to best position Sojern’s growing multi-product offering, and deliver persuasive presentations

  • Develop or support key partnerships with market influencers, to drive success in the markets that you work in, such as with Booking Engines, and Digital Marketing agencies

  • Work with your peers in the Global Organisation to ensure best practices and partner together to close global customers

  • Partner with our Customer Success team in delivering campaigns for our clients, supporting renewals and potential upsells

  • Become an expert in digital media advertising leveraging the available training and professional development resources at Sojern


  • English and German fluency required

  • 3- 5 years sales experience within digital marketing, online hotel distribution (Eg.: Market Manager within OTA, metasearch, booking engines, 3rd party providers) or hospitality (sales, revenue management).

  • Strong sales experience from prospecting to closing (lead generation, cold calling, pitching, client facing meetings).

  • Experience and interest in digital marketing, knowledge of the Travel Industry

  • Book of business a strong plus

  • Self-motivated; exhibits strong self-management and accountability.

  • Demonstrate autonomy to work remotely/ from home

  • Ability to manage change, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent planning and organising skills
