About the role:

Sojern is seeking a passionate and talented business development professional to join Sojern’s growing international sales team based in Dublin. This role positions and sells Sojern’s marketing solutions to qualified small to medium sized organisations in the travel industry, with a focus on hotels, in the EMEA markets.

This is a proactive business development role requiring previous sales experience, prospecting, pipeline management and conversion skills. You will be managing the full sales acquisition cycle, and continuously growing in this ever changing industry.


  • Develop and own assigned markets in which to prospect and engage qualified boutique and independent hotels to position and sell Sojern’s digital advertising solutions

  • Achieve and exceed monthly targets through a combination of new property acquisitions and opportunistic upsells

  • Adopt a consultative sales approach, to identify customers’ pain points and analyse their needs to best position Sojern’s growing multi-product offering, and deliver persuasive presentations

  • Develop or support key partnerships with market influencers, to drive success in the markets that you work in, such as with Booking Engines, and Digital Marketing agencies

  • Become an expert in digital media advertising leveraging the available training and professional development resources at Sojern

  • Partner with our Customer Success team in delivering campaigns for our clients, supporting renewals and potential upsells

  • Support the ongoing growth in the EMEA organization by mentoring, nurturing and assisting new employees

  • Work with your peers in the Global Organisation to ensure best practices and partner together to close global customers


  • Experienced in closing sales and interested in owning and developing markets

  • High degree of proactive sales ability in lead generation and prospecting

  • Ability to manage change, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent planning and organising skills

  • High energy partnered with a positive attitude

  • Additional European language required, with a preference for German, Dutch, or Nordic languages

  • Experience and interest in digital marketing, or the tourism industry is desirable, but not essential
