API Architect/Evangelist

We are looking for an exceptional API Architect/Evangelist to work with our cross-functional team and join our world-class community of talented experts. Core to this need is expertise in:

  • Act as an API Evangelist
  • Design of the APIs to support client user experiences on various channels (web, mobile, etc.), as well as integrations with partners.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering and integration teams across the enterprise to provide detailed API specifications
  • Help maintain and identify improvements to REST API standards
  • Provide formal design assessments for API specifications based on proposals from development teams
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of automation for the validation and approval of design specifications
  • Provide guidance and messaging around standards and best practices for the implementation of REST APIs
  • Work with infrastructure engineers to ensure smooth deployments and sustainable performance of the platform

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of API Management and Integration Architecture
  • Strong Hands-on knowledge of APIGEE API Management tool
  • APIGEE Platform operations and maintenance
  • API COE  and API Governance implementation
  • Experience of working with the security team to establish/align the API Security standards
  • API Foundational components definition and design
  • Must work in onshore-offshore model
  • Should have an understanding of Integration patterns and middleware concepts
  • API Foundational components definition and design
  • Demonstrate and interact with various customer team and stakeholder on API Management requirements and technical discussions
  • Experience with mobile API is  preferred
  • Be able to travel to California for 1 week per month post-Covid-19
