Before I describe what this role entails, here are three quick points:

1) THIS IS NOT YOUR "TYPICAL" CREATIVE GIG. You will get a lot of responsibility right out of the gates, and you'll be required to contribute your personal style to our content, drive projects to completion, and build our brand. You'll see first-hand how a growing company markets effectively and you'll be directly contributing in taking it to its goal of $100M in revenue by 2019.

2) WE HIRE CHARACTERS NOT POSITIONS. If you have what it takes as an individual - in other words, if you "crush it" in everything you do in life - then you'll fit in well at our company. Young or old, just out of college, if you have what it takes, we'll know! 

3) HUGE OPPORTUNITY (for the right person). First, you'll be integral in refining our product appearance and marketing efforts in order to improve our member’s experience and attract new members. You'll be given the opportunity to shape and refine our brand and really put your creative mark on something real. Second, you'll have the opportunity to widen the scope of your experience with everything from video production on an award winning youtube series to product photography, to physical product design. Finally, you'll have support from a highly creative and supportive c-suite, who believe in the value of design and want you to grow.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design print assets & physical products that are shipped to & displayed in our member offices all over the US.

  • Design digital assets that support marketing and sales, like product 1-pagers, social media graphics, infographics, e-books

  • Oversee & execute tabletop product photography

  • Produce & execute creative photography concepts for marketing & creative use

  • Assist in-house video production efforts with scripting, setup, and camera operation

  • Actively participate in brainstorming and helping us create the best & most engaging content in the industry

  • Help maintain and organize our digital asset library
     

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years design experience, preferably some within a startup environment

  • Mastery of the Adobe Creative suite - Specifically Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom.

  • Knowledge of best practices in digital design, pre-press production, direct response & e-commerce marketing

  • Comfortable independently developing marketing collateral as needed

  • Interested in writing short form marketing copy

  • Organized and deadline oriented

  • Resourceful self-starter who can learn on the fly

  • E-commerce product photography and/or videography experience is a huge bonus

  • Well-versed in other creative mediums to support design, video and photography

  • Amiable personality that is fun to work with 

  • Honest, RELIABLE, and loyal (doing exactly what you say you will)

COMPENSATION
