Smith Brothers Farms, a leading producer and deliverer of milk to homes, schools, and business in the Puget Sound area for more than 100 years, is seeking a dedicated Night Operations Manager to join the team in Kent, WA.
If you have at least 5 years' experience in a managerial role in the dairy industry or similar food manufacturing environment that is SQF certified, Smith Brothers Farms wants to hear from you!

Desired qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial role in the dairy industry or similar food manufacturing environment that is SQF certified.
- Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Business Administration or related field.
- A thorough understanding of dairy manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
- Proficient in using computerized systems for inventory management, quality control and production planning.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with remarkable problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience in a high-volume dairy processing facility.
- Prior experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles.
- Professional certifications related to dairy production or food safety.
- Knowledge of Spanish or other languages beyond English.
- A background in developing and executing operational strategies and plans.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and supervising daily operations of the dairy plant and warehouse ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support in implementing and adhering to relevant safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the Plant & Warehouse Manager in staff management tasks, such as recruitment, onboading and training program development for new employees and new processes, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain high standards of product quality by monitoring production processes and collaborating with the quality assurance team.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
