SmartAsset is looking for a hands-on experienced IT Administrator to join our NYC-based technology team. You will join a rapidly growing tech company and will get to work on various aspects of our technology systems, including managing in-house laptops, phone and video-conference services, several cloud-based systems, along


  • At least 3 years professional IT / Systems Administration and/or Dev-Ops experience
  • An ability to think outside the box and find the best solutions to complex/challenging problems
  • Experience managing various tools and services 
    • Amazn Web Services (EC2, AWS LoadBalancer)
    • MySQL, Apache
    • Atlassian tols (Jira, Confuence, Fisheye, Crucible, Crowd)
  • Administration experience with Linux systems
  • Excellent understanding of networking (firewalls, routers)
  • Experience with various server monitoring tools (nagios/netsaint, server-density, graphite, etc)
  • Experience with scripting languages (Perl, bash, csh, etc)
  • Excellent communication skills required
