Job Description

SmartAsset is the web's premier destination for financial advice.  Reaching more than 35 million people per month and growing quickly, we are looking for a talented Recruiter to help us manage, build and develop our fast growing team.

Recruiter Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish recruiting requirements 
  • Work closely with Team Leaders to understand personnel needs
  • Build applicant sourcing strategies
  • Work with Team Leaders to write and market job descriptions
  • Attract applicants by placing job advertisements
  • Determine applicant qualifications needed for each position
  • Phone screen all qualified applicants
  • Organize in person meetings
  • Help design and organize any practical tests needed from applicants
  • Improve organization’s attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices
  • Ensure we are employing best practices in recruiting 
  • Manage intern program 
  • Support new employee onboarding and orientation

Recruiter Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-5 years of human resources recruiting 
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • General knowledge of current employment laws and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team in a fast paced / dynamic environment 
  • Ability to travel for recruiting meetings, college visits, career fairs, etc.
