Programmatic Media Buyer

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial Digital Media Buyer to help grow our SmartAdvisor lead generation business, focusing primarily on display and programmatic media buying.

SmartAdvisor is a platform to match potential investors with financial advisors in their area. This position will focus on the investor side, using display and other digital channels to engage in-market audiences to complete the lead form and meet with a financial advisor:


  • Oversee display and programmatic media buying to generate leads for financial advisor matching platform
  • Manage profitable campaigns across a variety of display opportunities
  • Source ad tech providers and new marketing platforms
  • Conduct A/B tests and execute optimization strategies to improve performance
  • Report results regularly to management using direct response marketing KPIs
  • Work closely with Product and Design team to improve profitability


  • 2-4 years of relevant digital media buying experience in a direct response context with a successful record of launching and scaling large budget campaigns profitably
  • Expert at writing persuasive ad copy and powerful marketing angles
  • Analytical, data-driven approach to marketing
  • Comprehensive understanding of programmatic landscape and relevant ad tech
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize opportunities effectively to hit goals
