Director of Business Development

New York, NY

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Development, the Director will be responsible for the strategy and execution of partnerships in support of growing its Captivate Network. Responsibilities include identifying publishing partner opportunities, negotiating agreements, deal implementation and day to day management of partnerships.  Potential partnerships could span large media publishers, mid-tier finance publishers and financial services companies.


• Identify, pursue and implement business development opportunities and strategic partnerships that leverage the Captivate platform.

• Will handle in-bound and out-bound business development requests

• Will lead or assist business negotiations for partnerships, working with the Vice President of Business Development.

• Will lead on going day to day management of existing partnerships, ensuring partner satisfaction and growth

• Work interdepartmentally to identify and drive product development for Captivate


Skills and competencies:

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA preferred

• Four plus years of experience in business development/partnership management roles

• Must have the ability to manage multiple and diverse projects simultaneously

• Demonstrated ability to identify potential opportunities and the executional capability to bring them to fruition

• A solid understanding of the digital publishing landscape including its products, players, and technologies, including an established network of industry contacts.

• Demonstrated operational capability to implement deals 

• Creative thinker with highly developed analytical skills and a very high attention to detail

• Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and establish trust and credibility quickly
