Business Development Associate

SmartAsset is looking for a dedicated, relationship-driven Business Development Associate with a passion for establishing client relationships and serving as a valuable resource/point of contact.

The Business Development Associate will identify and execute publisher partnerships as well as track post-launch performance, and provide strategic direction for new opportunities to grow revenue. Additionally, the Business Development Associate will optimize existing relationships by upselling new initiatives to publishers and improving the metrics on their site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Highly motivated, proactive, dedicated and creative in order to Source, manage and grow relationships with publisher clients
  • Understand the SmartAsset personal finance platform and the benefits publishers gain by using it
  • Monitor and analyze performance and proactively take steps to improve results


  • A minimum of 2 years of client-facing experience in the digital media / online publisher space
  • MBA preferrable
  • A solid understanding of web technologies and the digital media revenue ecosystem, including digital advertising and analytics
  • Must have advanced Excel skills
  • Outstanding communications, relationship management and customer service skills
