Sister Lakes Brewing Company is a family owned brewery, taproom and restaurant in Dowagiac, MI in the heart of Sister Lakes. Our mission is to create a public gathering place for the community to share our passion for great beer and enable an outlet for other to share their passions. Our beer list includes varieties of our own hand-crafted beers and our food menu features unique appetizers, specialty sandwiches, soups and salads.


Greet guests and show them to their table or waiting area, facilitate efficient flow of orders from kitchen to table, ensure food is properly presented to customers and assist bartenders and other staff.



  • Greet guests as they enter and put them on a waiting list as necessary
  • Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions
  • Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas
  • Engage with guests to ensure they are satisfied with food and service
  • Verify food orders for accuracy, presentation and temperature
  • Respond to complaints and help to resolve them
  • Answer phone calls, take reservations and answer questions
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the food and drink menu
  • Opening /closing duties and cleaning
  • Clean customer tables and bar area after customers leave/before customer arrive
  • Restock the bar and other areas
  • Change kegs when required
  • Maintain a trash free environment
  • Assist other staff in the restaurant as needed
  • Provide great customer service



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment for prolonged periods of time
  • A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
  • Able to execute high-quality work with minimal supervision
  • Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food as necessary
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed
  • Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred
