Production & Inventory Manager

As the Hub between Sales and Printing, our Production & Inventory Manager is a key member of the Silipint Cupster Crew, touching nearly every order that comes through our system. Helping to keep accurate inventory levels, communicating the needs of our print production and shipping teams, as well as maintaining great relationships with our vendors, this position requires big-picture experience as well as being incredibly detail driven. This person slays cups and thrives by being a team player. 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage and maintain overseas and domestic production for Silipint products and Silipint custom printing
  • Effectively communicate all aspects of inventory levels and production schedules between team members at Silipint, including sales, warehouse and printing teams, as well as outside vendors
  • Coordinate production and shipping of overseas inventory and maintain favorable factory relationships
  • Forecast inventory based on sales trends and goals
  • Create and maintain SKUs, UPCs, pricing for all Silipint products
  • Facilitate end of month, quarterly and annual inventory counts and reconciliation
  • Work with financial team to analyze inventory levels, cost of goods, shipping costs
  • Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates and work-in-process to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed, communicate with sales team
  • Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
  • Successfully facilitate sales order custom print specifications with the print production team and vendors, and help our teams work through
  • Manage one in-house Production & Inventory team member
  • Assist in Amazon Vendor Center and Seller Central ordering processes

Requirements

  • Computer savvy with excellent typing skills and expertise in Microsoft Excel 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both with internal and external customers
  • Strong attention to detail and processes for manufacturing and production 
  • Ability to handle multiple requests and projects simultaneously, as well as meet deadlines as needed
  • Fastidiousness with business software, reporting, numbers, etc.
  • Accuracy with particular attention to detail and acumen for numbers
  • Reliability, strong work ethic & desire for advancement
  • Exemplify analytical and statistical modeling skills with ability to interpret seasonality, market, and trend information
  • Process oriented with a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Experience with establishing and monitoring KPIs for process improvement
  • Experience in supply chain management, international shipping & consumer product purchasing
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and reporting skills
  • Production Scheduling
  • Understanding of order entry, inventory and purchasing and shipping software and business management platforms
  • Experience managing team members and helping to discern priorities and meet deadlines

Bonus Points

  • Comfortable in Mac OS & Cloud Environments
  • APICS, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, etc. certifications
  • Bonus-Bonus points - experience in Adobe Illustrator

Compensation and Schedule

  • 40 hours, Mon-Fri., flexible daytime schedule
