Talent Acquisition Specialist

Shoes.com is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to assist the organization in finding and securing top talent across departments.  The Talent Acquisition Specialist will take a lead role in screening candidates and scheduling onsite interviews, as well as managing the company’s Applicant Tracking System.  This role will work cross-functionally to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the full candidate journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with hiring teams on sourcing and assessment strategy
  • Lead intake, calibration and weekly recruitment update meetings
  • Maintain solid and up-to-date pipeline, funnel and conversion metrics; provide a synthesis of open requisitions, including distance from goal and objective statuses (on/off track)
  • Screen candidate resumes for open positions across several departments and assist in conducting phone screens
  • Coordinate onsite interviews (Occasionally coordinate travel for candidates as needed)
  • Ensure a positive candidate interview experience for all onsite interviews:
    • Maintaining timeliness of interviews
    • Keeping everyone on schedule
    • Assisting with any changes
    • Greeting & ushering candidates as necessary
  • Assist with the maintenance of the ATS database to post new roles, ensure data accuracy, and ensure timeliness of responses to applicants
  • Run and analyze ad hoc and scheduled reports through the applicant tracking system
  • Conduct reference checks and background checks for employees who have accepted offers
  • Work with third party agencies as required
  • Assist on additional key recruitment initiatives (events, on-site campus treks, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of proven, progressive recruitment experience supporting corporate hiring teams (Operations, Marketing, Finance, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (degree in HR, Business, Communications, or another related field is a plus)
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a high-volume recruitment environment
  • Strong organization, written and verbal communication skills; good business acumen
  • Assertive self-starter willing to hold others accountable
  • Ability to manage up and down
  • A proactive and self-motivated work style with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Experience with Outlook and calendar management
  • Proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Availability for travel on an as-needed basis (for career fairs, etc.)
