Shackleton Equity Partners has two paid internships open for MBA graduates. Primary responsibilities include assisting with deal sourcing, screening and reviewing potential investments, building financial models, assisting with executing transactions, and performing other due diligence functions.
This internship starts immediately. Interns will be expected to work from home during the remainder of the “shelter in place” restrictions, and thereafter at our office near LAX. Interns will be provided a dedicated work space, e-mail, and parking. Interns must have their own cell phone as well as use their own PC laptop (no Apple).
Preferred candidates will possess excellent analytical abilities as well as a strong interest in business, investing, and finance. Candidates must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office with heavy emphasis on Excel. Candidates must also have excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Candidates are required to have an MBA as well as some investment banking and/or private equity experience.
The internship includes a minimal monthly stipend, bonuses, and other economic incentives. More importantly, this internship is an excellent opportunity to gain private equity experience as well as successful interns will be eligible for promotion to full-time Associate. During the internship, you will have access to senior professionals and advisors with extensive experience in private equity, investment banking, and operations. You will learn about private equity investing, M&A, corporate finance, accounting, legal, operational turnarounds, various industries, networking, etc.
