Job Description

Sesame Workshop is looking for a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Intern.  The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Intern (DEI) will assist with daily operations of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and support efforts to develop and maintain DEI initiatives at Sesame Workshop.  


Some tasks will include:

  • Ensure external and internal meetings and conference calls are planned effectively and run smoothly by managing invites and conference call details, preparing meeting materials, minutes and actions, coordinating follow-up, and organizing meeting logistics
  • Support events coordination including department events and presentations, as well as events for staff to support DEI and culture
  • Provide support to administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings
  • Maintain and file department/event assets (agendas, research, production schedules, budgets, travel, etc.)
  • Maintain a current database of conferences, workshops, event hosts, and organizational partners
  • Help research speakers and volunteer opportunities for heritage months and DEI related events
  • Provide additional support as needed

Qualifications/Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized


Basic Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a degree at an accredited college
  • Must be an undergraduate Junior/Senior or a graduate student
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
