Job Description

Sesame Workshop us looking for a Social Media Manager.  The Social Media Manager primarily assists in the management and expansion of the organization’s day-to-day social media activities and reports to the Director, Digital Marketing. Acts as part of a core team that develops opportunities to engage with younger parents and fans, drive traffic to digital channels (websites, YouTube, accounts), and support franchise and philanthropic campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the social media calendar and ensuring that content is properly scheduled for Sesame Workshop, Sesame Street, its character and new domestic property accounts daily
  • Leading and implementing social media strategy by providing plans for all promotional efforts in support of the organization’s philanthropic and business launches, partnerships, and new property announcements
  • Curate, create, and gather assets for social media posts, appearances, and events
  • Work with PR and Production departments for on-site social media coverage for special guest appearances
  • Developing ad-hoc analytics reports overall and during key social events
  • Monitoring Sesame’s social media communities to identify and develop ways to better engage with its audiences

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in community management and/or social media marketing
  • Proficient with major social media platforms
  • Knowledge of social media analytics tools
  • Possesses a strong desire and knack for celebrity relevancy and remains in-tune with the newest trends, viral postings and up-and-coming social media platforms
  • Ability to interact and work with various personalities and a range of management levels internally and externally
  • Highly organized
  • Self-starter
  • Excellent writing/communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish (verbal and written) a plus
