Department Coordinator

Creative Development | New York, NY | Full Time

Job Description

Sesame Workshop is hiring a Department Coordinator to provide daily administrative support to the SVP of Creative Development and Current Series Production, and organizational support to the Creative Development Department. We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, strong communication skills, a “can-do” attitude, and a detail-oriented mentality.


  • Provide administrative support including calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reports, and meeting preparation
  • Perform necessary tasks for department including file management, ordering supplies, invoice and contract administration, and organizing meetings
  • Interact extensively across all departments, and with outside creators and producers
  • Assist in preparing pitch materials, sales sheets, and decks for meetings and presentations
  • Provide support to other series productions as needed
  • Help to recruit, train, and oversee department interns
  • Other tasks as assigned



  • B.A./ B.S. Degree
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and organizational skills; attention to detail, highly organized, thoughtful and concise
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • The capacity to adapt to change, and confidently respond to challenge
  • Proactive team player, able to spot inefficiencies and propose effective solutions (creative problem-solving skills)
