Associate Producer, Refugee Programs – Middle East

Job Description

Sesame Workshop is seeking an Associate Producer, Refugee Programs – Middle East. The right candidate should be passionate and a collaborative individual to support the creative team with production related activities for our new humanitarian initiative to bring early childhood education to Syrian refugees in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, in partnership with the International Rescue Committee.  Recently awarded the first-ever MacArthur Foundation 100&Change $100 million grant, the program will be the largest early childhood intervention in the history of humanitarian response. The Associate Producer will report to the Managing Producer and provide support through all stages of initiative’s production, including creative development, assets and resources compilation, character development, production reviews, packaging, and delivery.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all production related activities with internal and international production teams, with guidance and supervision from Managing Producer
  • Manage communication with internal and international teams through all stages of production and arrange production meetings/calls
  • Coordinate script /rough cut reviews and share team comments with production partners
  • Assist development and content implementation for outreach, digital and social media activities
  • Log and track all production resources and liaise between internal and international teams to ensure adequate assets delivery and QC of final deliverables
  • Manage evaluation and coordination of all production deliverables, as well as asset tagging/entry and residuals tracking
  • Oversee editing of presentation reels, subtitling, compilations packaging, etc.  
  • Manage third-party contracting and ensure compliance
  • Create presentations, overview documents, graphs and timelines, as needed
  • Manage workshops logistics and travel accommodations, process expense reports for the producers as needed
  • Arrange booking of venues, production and catering services, as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Television/Film/Media Production, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of TV/Digital/Media production or relevant work experience
  • Broad pre-production, production and post-production experience, editing and asset management skills a plus
  • Ability to work across multiple project aspects, tight deadlines, and various time zones
  • Excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask, while able to prioritize urgent needs
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills and related competencies
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team, while maintaining flexible, creative, and solution-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to travel to and work in low-resource settings 
  • Arabic language skills preferred 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects and Premiere
