Position Summary:
Sesame Workshop seeks a Manager, Global Corporate Partnerships, to join its dynamic Corporate Partnerships team. The Global Corporate Partnerships team is focused on philanthropic giving from Corporations, Corporate Foundations and collaborates on CSR/Retail opportunities globally. The team also works with brand teams (e.g., agencies, brand marketing, corporate communication teams) and aligns with intermediary organizations that help with funder matchmaking as part of Sesame Workshop’s overall revenue goals.
This position is based at our headquarters office in New York (Manhattan) with a hybrid work environment to include a minimum of two designated in-office days, determined by the functional nature of the role and department.
Purpose:
This position will report to a Senior Director of Global Corporate Partnerships and be responsible for a wide range of business development and account management activities, the most significant of which are: prospecting, concept, and proposal development, and managing a portfolio of partners including reporting and donor stewardship.
This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated, entrepreneurial, results-oriented fundraiser to make an impact at an iconic not-for-profit.
Engagement:
- Work collaboratively cross-departmentally on project planning for proposals and updates for reports
- Attend project meetings and serve as a resource on funder requirements and grant deliverables
- Manage portfolio of corporate partnerships and provide day to day relationship management support of larger partnerships
Delivery:
- Build funder pipeline and uncover sources of new prospects to support Sesame Workshop’s Global Social Impact work, media and U.S. program initiatives
- Develop strong and compelling pitch decks, concept notes and proposals for corporate opportunities
- Review and submit interim and final reports for funders
- Support the development of donor renewal strategies and partner with Senior Directors to determine growth opportunities for key existing partners
- Track prospects and grant activity, and run pipeline reports in Salesforce
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. degree or similar experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in corporate philanthropic giving or sales and marketing experience for cause related brands
- Experienced project manager with previous experience coordinating large proposals
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work productively with shifting and tight deadlines
- Excellent writing, organization, verbal communication, and desk research skills
- Strong relationship management skills with a range of clients or donors including experience in managing corporate accounts
- Strong data management and visualization skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel
- Familiarity with funders and philanthropies funding global social impact programs
- Must be an initiative-taker with an upbeat, entrepreneurial attitude and work independently as well as in a team setting
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with international development or donors and ability to speak languages other than English a plus
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce a plus
