Low Voltage Installation Technician

Technical Operations | Bend, OR | Full Time | From $25.00 to $40.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their overall technology needs.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to perform cabling and wiring tasks.
  • Installation and maintenance of low voltage cabling
  • Program, configure and finalize system commissioning
  • Train clients of system operability
  • Provide technical support and software troubleshooting for remote access systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and adherence to safety standards.
  • Obtain certifications in the various systems deemed necessary by your employer and to further career growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GED or high school diploma, valid driver's license
  • Fundamental knowledge of EIA, TIA & ANSI Standards
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to low voltage installations.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in the Low Voltage Technology systems, such as hands on experience with Alarm.com, Qolsys, Lutron, Eero and Sonos
  • Bachelor's or associate degrees in Electrical Engineering, IT, or Computer Networking / Certified
    Network Cable Installer (CNCI) qualifications.
  • LEA or LEB electrical license
  • Familiarity with remote access software for system monitoring, management and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of computer networking principles.
