Business and Community Development Ambassador

Continuing along its highly successful growth trajectory, SFFedCU is seeking a Business and Community Development Ambassador who is ready to make a difference to this transforming, growth-oriented and locally based credit union.

Position Summary

The Business Development Ambassador plays a key role in supporting the growth of the Credit Union by assisting in the coordination, development and execution of strategies aimed at driving new memberships and increasing member engagement. This position works hands-on with the business development and marketing departments to schedule, coordinate and attend business development events. This role is unique to a candidate eager to contribute to the success of our community engagement initiatives and various employer groups. An ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-orientated, and proactive, with strong communication barriers and a clear insight for helping businesses expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Membership Growth: Drive membership growth and ensuring effective strategies to expand membership and meet organizational goals.

  • Event Coordination & Execution: Assist in coordination and planning of events, outreach activities and workshops, particularly those involving employer groups.

  • Client Relationship Management: Act as a liaison between the Credit Union and community partners, fostering strong relationships with representatives on campus, municipal departments and local employer groups.

  • On-Site Presence: Attend events and activities as needed.

  • Logistics: Manage event scheduling, venue setup, material distribution, and other logistical elements. Ensuring all necessary resources and information are prepared and delivered to all parties involved.

  • Proposal Development & RFP Management: Work with the business development and marketing team to promote events, distribute communications, and engage attendees through e-mail, social media and presentations.

  • Sales Reporting & Feedback: Maintain accurate attendee feedback record from business development activities, including member interactions and proposal outcomes. This includes recommendations for future improvement strategies

Who Are You?

  • Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a financial institution.

  • Requires a thorough knowledge of credit union products and services.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of partners and adaptation to change during events.

  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a plus.

  • Detail-orientated, organized and self-driven with the ambition to have results with the ability to prioritize, analyze and execute autonomously.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Complies with appropriate legal, regulatory, internal control and quality standard requirements of the Credit Union including the Bank Secrecy Act.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
