Job Description

Job Title:  Temporary Human Resources Assistant

Job Location: Mattoon Store Support Office

Reports to: Human Resources Director

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review applications for employment
  • Hold phone interview with potential candidates
  • Send applications to hiring managers for review
  • Schedule interviews
  • Assist with on boarding new employees and facilitating orientations
  • Tracking employee attendance and absenteeism through employee HR databases
  • Assist with various employee matters as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably in Human Resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Technical savvy / Ability to learn new systems

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all audiences
  • Good visual acuity
  • Close vision for computer work
  • Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
