Job Description

Job Title:Store Operations Coordinator

Job Location:Headquarters, Mattoon, IL

Reports to:Vice President of Store Operations

FLSA Status:Hourly Non-Exempt



The Store Operations Coordinator works very closely with multiple areas of our retail business which includes the merchandising, purchasing, and distribution departments.  This position helps determine trends and provides information to help strategic decisions be made about key operational parts of Rural King.  



  • Track and order store supplies to replenish Distribution Centers
  • Review invoices for accuracy for store supplies
  • Work with Store Planning to coordinate supplies for new stores
  • Create accounts and approve orders in Staples
  • Run reports in Compass
  • Create Power Point Presentations as needed
  • Work with Operations team on tasks and projects as assigned
  • Assist with Corporate travel such as hotels, flights, and car rentals
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties



  • Previous retail experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • Must be a self-starter, critical thinker, good listener, and ability to work under pressure at a fast pace
  • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely
  • Ability to complete computer-based training
