Job Description

Job Title:                              Replenishment Specialist

Job Location:                       Store Support Center, Mattoon, IL

Reports to:                          Replenishment Manager

FLSA Status:                        Exempt



The purpose of the Replenishment Specialist is to drive sales through optimization of replenishment and allocations programs all while staying aligned with the company’s financial objectives.



  • Responsible for analyzing sales and inventory levels of your product category to decide store allocation of import and domestic product across all stores
  • Autonomy to purchase category product without limit and accountable to staying aligned with budgetary objectives
  • Review recommendations from Inventory Planner and determine direction and appropriate action regarding replenishment ordering
  • Identify poor performing items and categories and collaborate with Category Manager on recommended adjustments of inventory levels and pricing
  • Key initial orders for seasonal and/or basic programs as well as place, track, and adjust all new store orders
  • Generate and leverage reports for effective decision making
  • Monitor Purchase Orders and Special Orders for on-time shipping and fulfillment percentage
  • Partner with logistics and DC to recommend shipment changes to align with inventory goals
  • Set up and maintain item information in Eagle/ERP System
  • Assist in the product selection and minimum presentation stock level
  • Drive clear communication with strategic partners both inside and outside the organization
  • Assist Category Managers in vendor meetings and the line review process
  • Ensure accuracy of print advertising and product in stock to 98.5%
  • Participate in store travel to review stock performance on planogram, off planogram, and stockroom
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties



  • A minimum of 2 years of retail experience working within a Rural King store or equivalent comparable experience
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Demonstrates strong listening, written, and oral communication skills
  • Able to independently organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
  • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely
  • Ability to complete computer-based training
