Reports to: Marketing Manager

FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Analyst assists the Marketing Manager in the marketing and advertising programs at Rural King.  This position is a key role that coordinates with all departments and locations along with partnering with outside vendors. This position impacts the entire company with marketing initiatives, cost savings, and driving traffic to stores and online purchases.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for advertising co-op management and budget planning
  • Manage all print and media service execution for the company, including, but not limited to, print media forecasting and flyer transportation
  • Work with others to develop and maintain brand elements, formulate new layouts, and create artwork for packaging, advertising, internal documents, print and web/social media
  • Manage a wide range of print/electronic projects such as advertisements, brochures, posters, billboards, direct mail, and corporate identity pieces
  • Responsible for the marketing communication and execution of store-specific as well as grand opening events
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends in the market place based on market demand and competition.
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of related marketing experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and goals for print and projects
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Ability to juggle various projects and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Social media experience preferred
  • General HTML/CSS knowledge preferred
  • Copywriting and content generation for marketing campaigns preferred
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative cloud CS6: Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign preferred
  • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire on-boarding process remotely
  • Ability to complete computer-based training

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help manage a team of 5+ associates

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all audiences
  • Good visual acuity
  • Close vision for computer work
  • Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
