JOB SUMMARY

The Lead Digital Merchandiser is responsible for leading a team of Digital Merchandisers, that are responsible for our online item merchandising. The position is responsible to create metrics and implement procedures across the team for consistency in our digital platform, for increasing sales, exceeding budgeted plan and conversion rates through merchandising best practices and user experience.


JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage, train and professionally develop digital merchandising team
  • Measure performance, propose strategies for improvement
  • Report and analyze defined metrics, execute strategies to support goals
  • Develop and implement plans to improve procedures
  • Produce on-time quality deliverables on a deadline while balancing multiple priorities
  • Direct and assign PIM project tasks; influence decisions regarding framework and structuring
  • Lead product merchandising across the site, including landing pages and other key pages
  • Monitor for technical, pricing, visual, content, and copy accuracy
  • Analyze, adjust, and present data in a digestible format for multiple purposes
  • Regularly communicate with Dev Team, Purchasing, Marketing, Merchandising and Operations on site performance
  • Provide insight, develop, and prioritize projects in conjunction with purchasing and planning
  • Identify opportunities and provide feedback and input on product assortment
  • Work with marketing, design, purchasing, and planning teams to plan and execute promotion techniques
  • Work with Marketing so that product/category additions are set up with SEO friendly content
  • Work with vendors and new suppliers to gather detailed product information in correct format
  • Maintain a list of active Drop Ship vendors; update the agreements periodically in alignment with company standards
  • Research, review and communicate results in non-technical terms to various audiences
  • Serve as primary contact point for product vendors and other departments
  • Create templates for various communication purposes (such as inventory automation requests, requests to vendors for specific information)
  • Receive and distribute emails from different departments (returns, customer service, etc.) to appropriate merchandisers and following up when necessary; handling requests from these departments that are not category specific

  • Detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple projects at once,

  • Background and experience working in E-Commerce or related field
  • Proficient with ecommerce platforms, inventory systems, MS Office, etc. (including Magento, Eagle, HTML, Excel, image editing software, etc).
  • Experienced in working with outside representatives and management at all levels
  • Experience managing others, providing both creative and technical direction, and working within a highly matrixed environment
  • Capable of initiating and maintaining interdepartmental relationships to facilitate communication
