Job Description

Job Title:  IT Director

Job Location: Store Support Center, Mattoon, IL 

Reports to: Senior Director of IT

FLSA Status:  Salaried Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of IT oversees the overall function of the information technology department including helpdesk/systems support, telecommunications, business continuity and strategy, network operations, cyber security, and business application management.

 

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop, monitor, and execute IT strategic plan
  • Oversee technical aspects in alignment with organizational goals
  • Direct the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes
  • Work closely with managers to find solutions to manage the efficiency of business activities
  • Research and recommends new products, identifies new market opportunities, and leads efforts to improve IT processes.
  • Hire and makes recommendations on employment status
  • Responsible for evaluating and determining necessary development plans for administrative and support staff in IT
  • Act as the primary contact for all company operations’ support
  • Develop/manage IT operational and capital budget
  • Negotiate with hardware/software/technological vendors
  • Execute and implement the applications of resources appropriate to the activities of other departments and stores
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership and proven ability to train and develop team members
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years IT management experience
  • Experience supporting ERP, WMS, CRM, and HRIS systems in an enterprise environment
  • Project management experience
  • Must work well under pressure and handle several projects simultaneously
  • High level of flexibility required to adapt to change requirements and user needs
  • Must have excellent communications skills
  • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire on-boarding process remotely
  • Ability to complete computer-based training

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all associates in the IT department

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all audiences
  • Good visual acuity
  • Close vision for computer work
  • Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements
