Job Title:  Inventory Planner

Job Location: Store Support Center, Mattoon, IL

Reports to: Planning Manager 

FLSA Status: Salary Exempt 

                                                                                                                                      

JOB SUMMARY

Assist Inventory Planning team with driving profitability and managing inventory with comprehensive analysis of the business and identification of local and regional opportunities.  Make assortment-related recommendations to the buyers and VP of Purchasing.  Develop and execute inventory plans by managing inventory flow based on sales and opportunity.

 

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in the execution of the Inventory plan
  • Identify most cost-effective freight flow including internal supply-chain impacts
  • Lead preseason strategy development and vendor planning
  • Help maintain in-stock
  • Lead open-to-buy process
  • Identify underperforming areas and recommend actions to the category manager
  • Recommend vendor SKU modification according to individual store performance
  • Recommend adjustments based on trends from last season
  • Provide specific, timely in-season recommendations

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be proficient with Excel and Report writers as well as creating reports from multiple data sources
