Job Title: Greeter
Reports To: Assistant Store Manager
Job Location: Store Location
FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt. Positions may be Full or Part-Time; Seasonal or Non-Seasonal
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Greet customers as they enter and exit the store
- Exhibit an upbeat and positive demeanor
- Protect the store’s assets by being observant and detail oriented
- Verify receipts when customers are leaving
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be customer-service oriented
- Demonstrate crisis management and know how to diffuse a difficult situation by being tactful
- Provide safe environment by keeping work areas clean & organized
- Use walkie-talkie, phone, PA system
- May be required to cross train and perform other duties
QUALIFICATIONS
- Versed on store layout
- Basic understanding of product offering
- Understand how to use a walkie talkie, phone, and PA system
- Know how to make popcorn
- Understand the security tower and how to react when it goes off
- Log entry when tower goes off
- Know how to take off security tags
- Customer Service:
- Must fully understand return policy and procedures along with checkout procedures, including loadouts
- Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Ability to access and use the in-store computer, scanning system, and wireless handheld unit
- Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire on-boarding process remotely
- Ability to complete computer-based training
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- None
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Good visual acuity and close vision for computer work
- Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively and professionally with all audiences (in-person or via handheld transceiver)
