Job Description

Job Title: Event Coordinator

Reports To: Real Estate Manager 

Job Location:  Corporate Office in Mattoon, IL

FLSA Status:  Hourly Non-Exempt

Exempt Classification:  N/A



The purpose of the Event Coordinator is to provide outstanding customer service and organize memorable events that meet quality expectations.  


  • Research market to identify event opportunities
  • Generate interest in events
  • Coordinate details of events such as trade shows, sales, meetings, and charity events
  • Visit venues to assist in planning of events
  • Work with clients to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met
  • Participate in all efforts to publicize events
  • Design promotional materials
  • Develop and oversee fundraising events
  • Manage correspondence
  • Assist in the setup of tables and chairs as necessary to support the events
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2+ years administrative office experience, with preference in the HR department.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must have professional written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills in Work, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to organize and work independently with superior attention to detail
  • Professional attitude and ability to prioritize assignments


  • Ability to communicate effectively to all audiences
  • Good visual acuity
  • Repetitive wrist movements
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and kneel as needed
