Job Title: Distribution Center Operations Manager

Job Location: Waverly, OH

Reports to: Distribution Center Manager

FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

Exempt Classification: Executive



The Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operations of a Distribution Center, including the management of associates.



  • Drive all Dock productivity by coordinating daily processes and expectations
  • Efficiently operate the warehouse management system and related equipment
  • Confirm inventory is received appropriately and efficiently
  • Schedule associates based on upcoming events and seasonal changes to achieve excellent customer service, accuracy, and on-time deliveries
  • Ensure a culture of safety throughout the organization by following safety and OSHA policies and procedures
  • Overall Dock cleanliness and sanitation
  • Responsible for overseeing key performance indicators and ensuring Assistant Managers are updating and posting them for visibility
  • Drive a culture of excellence focused on associate engagement at all levels while creating a Great Place to Work. 
  • Drive a culture of constant improvement in all areas of operations
  • Assisting in the hiring, training, and associate review processes
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
  • Use various Microsoft software programs: such as Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Use multiple software logistics programs: such as Eagle and Latitude
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relative field and 5+ year’s broad distribution center management experience supervising or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge with warehouse management systems
  • Analytical skills to include planning, organizing, directing and controlling workflow and processes
  • Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Flexibility with hours: ability to work varied hours, days, night, and weekends as business dictates
  • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely
  • Ability to complete computer-based training



  • Management of DC associates will be required



  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all audiences
  • Good visual acuity
  • Close vision for computer work
  • Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
  • Ability to repetitively lift, bend, carry, and push
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds.  Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements
