Job Title:  Distribution Center Analyst

Reports To:  VP of Logistics/ Transportation/ DC

Job Location:  Headquarters, Mattoon, IL

FLSA Status:  Salaried - Exempt

                                                                                                                                      

JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of the Distribution Center Analyst is to interact with the DC teams and leadership staff, as well as purchasing and the store support center to establish and develop all aspects of production and information flow. Supporting the Distribution Centers in developing, defining and meeting Supply Chain key metrics relating to packaging, delivery, forecasting accuracy, inventory, freight cost management and supplier delivery. Support and sustain lean supply chain activities, development of training, hands on mentorship/support as required.

 

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Analyze network and warehouse operations, including performance and productivity data, error rates and their root causes.
  • Analyze reports to identify operational issues
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses on specific areas of the operation
  • Develop recommendations to improve performance
  • Manage small operational process improvement projects
  • Monitor results of warehouse operation improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and publish standard reports for distribution operations
  • Maintain databases and develop weekly/monthly metrics reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
  • Proven work experience in process engineering
  • Required knowledge of SQL
  • 1+ years of experience in a related field or a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior Distribution Center experience preferred
  • Experience in Kaizen Training, Six Sigma or Lean a plus

  • None

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:

  • General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer
  • Programs such as Microsoft Office, Distribution Center Software
  • RF Scan Guns

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Good visual acuity and ability to communicate
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
