Director of Store Planning

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Store Planning is a critical role in the success of the overall space merchandising strategy. This position will partner will various departments from Category Management and Store Operations to Inventory and Marketing to drive results through effective planograms and presentations.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create, execute and update planograms across all categories supporting all stores in line with the overall space merchandising strategy of the organization
  • Analyze, develop, recommend and execute category specific space merchandising
  • Work closely with Category Managers on overall space merchandising strategy
  • Local, area and regional schematic creation and updates for all stores
  • Internal relationship building and selling of space merchandising concepts and recommendations
  • Maintain product data integrity for all items as it relates to planogram process
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of Store Planning within retail industry preferred
  • Experience having 2+ direct reports
  • Must be proficient with JDA, Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Demonstrates strong listening, written, and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability with problem solving and retail math
  • Able to independently organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to contribute and collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely
  • Ability to complete computer-based training

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the Store Planning Team and their process, innovation, and progress.
