JOB SUMMARY

The position is a key role at Rural King as it manages the e-commerce business supporting a digital endless aisle. The Director partners with all business segments of the company to work together and prioritizes using Rural King’ existing resources to strategically drive customers to the stores and online.


JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Align with the CEO and execute the company strategy for E-Commerce, which includes driving traffic to the stores, extending the product offerings in the stores, and focusing on profitable transactions using the internal supply chain infrastructure
  • Focus on integrating the various business segments at Rural King to ensure alignment cross functionally, while fostering ownership of the customer experience across the organization. Integrate all parts of the company so each business segment can own their piece and partner with each other to better serve the customer
  • Determine which categories Rural King will build the foundation around with a strategic focus in adding items that customers are already coming in for
  • Create reports on how to drive decisions for category managers/DC/Marketing/Operations
  • Support the Category Manager so they ultimately drive their own business using E-Commerce to drive additional sales focusing on the product categories that the Rural King Customer expects
  • Partner with vendors to give them ownership in supporting the loading of products and how products are shipped to stores for pickup/Get all vendors to provide inventory in DC’s for digital aisle. (FIX?)
  • Help store operations on how to interact and take care of the customer by constantly getting and reacting to customer feedback
  • Partner directly with the Director of Development to manage and improve the E-Commerce platform
  • Direct the internet and call center operations with a focus on process improvement and efficiency
  • Responsible for conveying a consistent brand image that attracts customers by encouraging sales thru the website
  • Increase brand awareness through consistent, relevant social media strategies, and by developing robust email database and digital marketing efforts
  • Improve the content of the website to get the best ranking on a search engine and analyzes website performance data
  • Recruit, train & develop associates
  • Take a hands-on approach with directing internet sales and traffic
  • Find solutions to associate and customer questions and concerns
  • Develop the product knowledge and sales techniques of the team
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties


QUALIFICATIONS

·3+ years of leadership experience in digital, online, media, or E-Commerce preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

·Experience in database and content management software

·Proven Leadership skills and the ability to motivate associates

·Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

·Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient

·Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency

·Demonstrate logical analysis and problem-solving skills

·Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely

·Ability to complete computer-based training
