Job Title:               E-Commerce Returns Specialist

Job Location:        Headquarters, Mattoon, IL

Reports To:           Digital Aisle Operations Manager

FLSA Status:          Hourly Non-Exempt

                                                                                                 

JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Aisle Returns Specialist is responsible for managing customer returns placed through our online department.  At Rural King we value our customer’s time and strive to ensure that their returns are dealt with in a timely manner.  We do this by responding quickly to pending RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorization) and taking the necessary actions to complete these.   

 

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Process customer returns quickly and efficiently
  • Obtaining accurate inventory records
  • Submit and investigate damage claims with freight carriers
  • Organization of all pending/processed returns
  • Answer return specific phone calls for customers/manufacturers
  • Email communication between customers/manufacturers/coworkers
  • Reship merchandise
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties

  • Detail-oriented
  • Excel in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
  • Strong computer skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely
  • Ability to complete computer-based training

  • None

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all audiences
  • Good visual acuity
  • Close vision for computer work
  • Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs frequently and 50-100 lbs occasionally
