Media Planner

RPM Advertising, a full-service agency is looking for a Media Planner to be responsible for developing and executing media plans related to multiple media channels (TV, radio, digital, print, OOH).  Additionally, this role helps to coordinate all day-to-day agency efforts on behalf of the client’s product or service.


  • Work with the clients and the account team to understand a client’s business objectives and advertising strategies
  • Serve as a liaison with account management department, clients and vendor-partners to develop media strategies and campaigns
  • Responsible for being familiar with all details of their assigned accounts, working closely with Assistant Media Planners to manage the day-to-day workflow
  • Conduct research utilizing specialized industry resources; research and analyze data to translate ideas into a quantifiable task
  • Analyze and recommend target, geography, timing, medium, support levels and/or within budget
  • Make recommendations on the best form of media for specific clients and campaigns
  • Develop a working knowledge of basic media concepts, terminology, media math and media
  • plan execution (e.g., reach, frequency, universe, rating, CPP, CPM)
  • Use appropriate technology/research systems/tools; apply appropriate media math/system to media problems in an accurate and timely manner


  • 2-3 years of media planning experience: can include, but not limited to print, television, spot radio, digital and OOH
  • Bachelor's degree, in advertising, marketing, business administration or communications
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Clear understanding of media planning and buying process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work successfully with teams with strong project management skills, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
  • Working knowledge of Syndicated tools (IMS, MRI, comScore, Media Tools, etc.)
