Roundhouse is a creative company in Portland, OR. We put our hearts into delivering campaigns, content, environments and experiences that transform the way people connect with brands and one another.
Our desire is to start conversations and realize ideas through branding & design, advertising, retail & environmental design, experiential, digital & social, and production studio services that deliver solutions for the brands we love to work with. Our clients’ brands include apparel and footwear, gaming, outdoor products, CPG and technology products.
We are seeking both Full Time and Freelance Art Directors, 3D Designers, Graphic Designers and Motion Designers. Remote candidates who can work west coast hours are encouraged to apply. Freelance roles are project-based and may last weeks or months. (Full-time positions will eventually require being based in Portland, OR.)
Because our work lives across social, digital, retail and physical environments, we are also seeking people who can work in these mediums (or specialize in one or more area). We are particularly interested in people who possess interest and experience in designing for outdoor, team sports and youth/popular culture brands, or have previously worked in an agency setting.
Art Directors (Campaign and Experiential)
Art Directors are responsible for design solutions from concepting to execution and oversee designer’s work on projects. They collaborate with the Creative Director to brief the team as well as work with Account Managers to present to clients. Art Directors also partner with Project Managers to scope and plan creative projects.
Our Campaign Art Directors focus on seasonal campaign planning, photo, and motion shoots as well as graphic design executions. A background in brand work and consumer goods is required and experience in sports, footwear, apparel is preferred.
Our Experiential Art Directors focus on social, digital, environments and content creation. Our clients may range from a popular gamer seeking a streaming room to a brand launching a cool new product. They’re big picture thinkers - strategic and conceptual designers with experience in event and spatial design. They stay current on popular culture and trends and can create big ideas that leave lasting impressions on consumers.
- Bachelors Degree in Graphic or Interactive Design preferred.
- 5 + years design and/or creative experience with consumer brands, preferably at an agency.
- A portfolio demonstrating a passion for design and a mastery of visual communication.
- Expertise in both traditional and experiential design
- Expert level of knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite products, and a deep understanding of emerging technologies.
