Art Director

Job Description

You think in retail design. 

Your long history designing 3D environments, amplified by your unbridled concepting capabilities leads to a steady stream of strategically-minded ideas that never stray far from the bullseye. You have a natural understanding of lifestyle and street wear brands and have years of experience working with and developing them. You’re a great presenter who helps mentor and lead creative teams, but you never shy away from snagging a stylus and throwing down some of your design skills to get the job done right, or right now. 

You’ll report directly to the Creative Director.


Our Art Directors:

Create concepts and execute design solutions from visualization to execution/installation, successfully translating the clients’ business needs in to workable solutions, communicating messages and creating identity. 

Provide clear direction and critiques to project teams on the creative development and execution of assigned projects. Mentors design talent.

Work with key production leads and project managers, producers, and design teams to ensure the design vision is executed in a consistent and world-class manner, ensuring high standards for design quality and service within budget, scope, and timeline.

Assess priorities, manage time, triage, and delegate in a deadline-driven environment without putting the client or agency at risk.

Work with strategists to develop brand strategy and establish brand positioning for clients. Translate client business and brand goals into innovative, meaningful and beautiful experiences.

Review and approve all final work for assigned clients.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships. Present concepts to clients, articulating creative concepts and rationale.

Work with new business and account teams to identify and scope new design projects for prospective and existing clients.


Please walk through the door with:

Bachelors Degree in Graphic or Interactive Design preferred.


5 years design and/or creative experience with consumer brands, preferably at an agency.

A portfolio demonstrating a passion for design and a mastery of visual communication.

Expertise in traditional design as well as superior retail / environmental design skills in addition to conceptual capabilities.

Expert level of knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite products and a deep understanding of emerging technologies. 

A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound creative, strategic, and analytical thinking skills. 

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Effective, clear and concise presentation skills.

The ability to interact and collaborate with all departments within the agency to solve problems.

*Some after hours and weekend work required. 

*Occasional travel required.
