The Patient Care Associate position for Pre-Medical Students will allow employees to round out their application for Medical Schools. The Ross Medical facility includes a study room, where employees can review for exams and collaborate with other employees while preparing for their exams and applications. We work with Pre-Medical Patient Care Associates to create a schedule for studying and applications, and provide opportunities for employees to strengthen their applications through research, patient care, and networking opportunities.

Location: Iselin, NJ 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe history and physical exam during physician patient examination, and document accurately the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present.
  • Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
  • List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
  • Document any procedures performed by the physician.
  • Learn Medical Terminology and how to practice medicine in a high tech environment.
  • Learn ECG and Vitals interpretation.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the company.
  • Document work processes as required.
  • Perform other office tasks as assigned.
  • Available shifts are for days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • PCA Level 1 earns $14 per hour for day shift.

Basic Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Recognition of physical exam process and ability to record exam details.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Organizational skills and strong ability to focus.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours a week.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications 

  • Special consideration is given to applicants who speak multiple languages, have strong research experience, have high GPAs and test scores, and have been leaders of organizations.
