The Position

We are looking for a talented, creative and organized Multimedia Content Specialist to be part of our productive, collaborative team. This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating/producing, editing, managing, and distributing digital, multimedia and written content across various internal and external platforms. This role combines creativity and writing skills with technical skills to support branding, marketing, communications, and promotional efforts through the production of social media stories and posts, videos, graphics, animations, articles, audio content, and photography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, produce, and edit multimedia content including both short- and long-form videos, podcasts, animations, graphics, and photography.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and design teams, as well as other teams across campus, to develop content that aligns with branding and campaign goals.
  • Regularly contribute creative content ideas to engage key audiences, then carry out those concepts through the post-production phase.
  • Assist in livestreaming and recording internal and external events.
  • Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for shoots.
  • Optimize multimedia content for web, social media, and other digital channels.
  • Write and publish engaging social media stories and posts.
  • Assist in managing digital assets and maintaining an organized media library.
  • Ensure all multimedia aligns with accessibility standards and brand guidelines.
  • Monitor trends in multimedia production and make recommendations for new technologies and techniques.
  • Track analytics for multimedia performance and generate reports when needed.

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, video production, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with video/audio production equipment and editing software.
  • Strong storytelling, visual, and creative skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics preferred.
  • Knowledge of livestreaming platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Ability to periodically cover night and weekend events.
