The Position
Roanoke College is seeking a creative organized marketing professional to serve as a key liaison between the Marketing & Communications and Advancement teams, ensuring the successful execution of campaigns and projects that advance the mission of Roanoke College. This position is responsible for creating and curating content, managing and maintaining a comprehensive project calendar, coordinating cross-departmental workflows, and providing performance reporting on marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, organized, deadline-driven and collaborative professional with strong communication skills and a passion for higher education.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management and Coordination
- Develop and manage a centralized project calendar for marketing and advancement communication initiatives, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and timelines.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute projects on schedule, including Roanoke College news, marketing campaigns, fundraising appeals, alumni engagement efforts, event promotions, student recruitment, and collegewide communications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project updates, communicating progress and addressing roadblocks proactively.
- Ensure all projects adhere to branding, messaging, and quality standards.
Campaign Management and Reporting
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Advancement teams to plan and execute marketing campaigns, including email, social media, web, and print communications.
- Monitor, analyze and report on the performance of campaigns, generating detailed reports on metrics such as engagement, conversion rates, and return on investment.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness.
Content Creation and Coordination
- Generate print and digital content, including press releases, news and features stories, announcements, emails, social media posts, web content, scripts, etc.
- Work with other content creators and college employees to gather, organize, and distribute materials such as copy, graphics, photos, and videos for use in campaigns.
- Works with Marketing to assist in coordinating updates to the college website, social media channels, and email marketing platforms in support of marketing and fundraising initiatives.
