Assistant or Associate Professor of Engineering Science

Roanoke College invites applications for tenure-track positions in Engineering Science, at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, starting in August, 2024. The Engineering Science major is an exciting new addition to the College. We seek a candidate with energetic vision, creative thought, and collaborative spirit. A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Education, or a closely-related field is preferred; a Master’s Degree or higher with relevant professional experience is required. A successful candidate must have a strong interest in teaching a wide range of undergraduate science and engineering-related courses in a liberal arts setting, in mentoring a variety of experiential learning opportunities, and in supporting efforts towards ABET accreditation. Evidence of potential for highly effective classroom teaching is required. The likely teaching load includes courses in Electric Circuits and Control Systems, with potential to develop new courses. The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
