Job Summary/Objective:


This position is responsible for the overall business management of RJG’s office that will be doing business in Mexico, Latin America, and South America as we grow.  By working with corporate leadership, the manager will execute strategic plans with local employees to help meet financial targets, business targets, and employee development while maintaining and building a strong team culture in line with RJG’s core values.

Reports to: Americas Sales Manager or equivalent

Classification:  Full-time/Salary, exempt

Location:  Chihuahua, Chihuahua MX

Essential Job Functions:

 Business Responsibilities:

  •  Under corporate guidance, this position will be involved in the development of multi-year strategic plans as well as yearly tactical strategic plans for the Latin America office that support corporate strategies.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the execution of short and long-term strategic plans

  • Develop local budgets along with guidance from corporate management and track and maintain office performance according to budget (including revenue, employee training, capital purchases, and future staffing needs)

  • Evaluate Technical, Administrative, and Financial performance and report to corporate management on a monthly basis 

  • Monitor and manage cash flow in order to meet financial plans and to assure sound financial control of the entity (cost control activities, monitor revenues and expenditures, effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, materials, facilities and time)

  • The General Manager will carry signatory responsibilities for bank accounts and business agreements

  •  Approve purchase requests, expense reports and other requests

    Management Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and determine compensation levels for local employees annually and administer pay rate changes

  • Complete performance evaluations and coaching to support employee performance and achievement of goals (minimum of twice per year) to ensure on going team development and individual development of local employees

  • Ensure strong focus on accountabilities of employees, company objectives and priorities

  • Exemplify and maintain RJG’s core values among team members  

  • Exemplify and maintain RJG’s corporate culture while still respecting the local culture of our employees

  • Establish lean processes and continuous improvement within work policies, procedures, schedules and workflow for optimal efficiency and effectiveness of operations

  • Hold monthly strategic plan review meetings and update meetings with local employees

  • Responsible for all phases of recruitment, selection and hiring of employees that will work for the local office          

    Business Development/Customer Relations:

    • Responsible for assisting local employees with customers that are experiencing challenging situations that require management attention.

    • Work to develop strong business relationships with partners across the country in business as well as partners within the injection molding industry at a local level

    • Determine marketing and sales strategies to help build RJG’s portfolio and sales

    • Attend local industry events such as trade shows or conferences for networking opportunities and to gain a deeper understanding of the current manufacturing landscape and looking forward to what could affect RJG’s business, positively or negatively, in the future

    • As the leader of RJG Latin America, it will be important to be active in the manufacturing space that RJG holds.  This may include doing high level presentations at various events or making customer visits to talk to Upper Management at customers to assist in the sales process    

Knowledge/Skills Needed/Experience

Required: 

  • Bilingual - fluent in both verbal and written communication skill in English and Spanish

  • Has all documents or can obtain all documents for travel outside of Mexico, primarily to the United States

  • Clean driving record

  • Clean background check 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products 

  • Ability to address employee questions and concerns.

  • Ability to coach employees on performance

  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other departments

  • Ability to handle confidential information related to employees and customers in appropriate manners   

Preferred:

  • 4 - year degree or equivalent work experience in Business Administration/Business Management.

  • Basic understanding of financial working of business from Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, etc.

Travel Expectations:  Moderate to Heavy travel (Average of 2 weeks per month)
