This position will be at our RJG corporate and manufacturing facility in beautiful Traverse City, MI.  Traverse City is an all-season vacation destination in Northern Michigan nestled on the south end of Grand Traverse Bay near the eastern shore of Lake Michigan.  RJG and Traverse City combine for a dream destination for those that seek quality of life.


A full-time Inside Sales Representative position is available with RJG, Inc.  This position will partner with their regional team in selling RJG products, services, training and consulting to new and existing customers.   The inside sales rep. functions as the “Coordinator” between the customer needs and RJG solutions, is often the "go to person" for customer questions and is the central hub that connects our multiple product and service departments. This position provides a healthy balance between sales and administrative responsibilities.

  • Research and qualify prospects from various sources including Web inquiries, On-line assessments, On-line searches, Trade show leads, Public training course leads and Cold calls

  • Qualify customers using the “Dave Tear” sales approach (training will be provided)

  • Prepare formal sales quotes in our customer database and follow up on formal quotes

  • Respond to customer inquiries and quote requests within 24 hours

  • Keep CRM database up to date and accurate

  • Enter training and consulting sales orders into RJG’s accounting software

  • Provide training and equipment presentations to customers both remotely and on-site

  • Coordinate all in-plant and consulting events including scheduling the consultant/trainer time and collecting travel and event details

  • Develop plans with our customers to implement RJG’s Scientific Molding Methodologies and principals

  • Travel to trade shows and customer visits (minimal travel)

  • Coordinate and attend team meetings

  • Complete all administrative tasks associated with transactional and relationship customers



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent verbal communication skills - Must be a good listener

  • Ability to present to a group

  • Able to create agendas and lead meetings

  • Good follow up habits

  • Excellent written communication skills – typing speed/accuracy/grammar/spelling/punctuation

  • Able to self-manage time and priorities

  • Professional, honest and tactful

  • A team player

  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects

  • Ability to adapt and is a problem solver who can provide out of the box solutions for the customer

  • Self driven and goal oriented

  • Must be humble, hungry and smart

Bonus Points:

  • Detailed knowledge of all RJG products and services is a plus (training available)

  • Experience in Sage accounting software products is helpful (MAS90, MAS200, ERP100, etc.)

  • A good sense of humor and laughing will be necessary to fit well into our unique culture.
