Ripcord is the world's first robotic paper digitization company. We’re going after the outmoded, but very large paper records market (think, medical records, company HR records, company financial records, legal case files, etc). For 30 years the world has been talking about the paperless office, but have yet to realize it. Our mission is to be the company that takes the world paperless. We are doing this by building a first of its kind robotic machine and software platform that will completely transform the records management market.

A DevOps Engineer at Ripcord will build out automated continuous integration and deployment pipelines to support many development teams.
In this role, the candidate will collaborate with development teams to identify inefficiencies and eliminate them. Ripcord has a wide technology stack ranging from industrial automation to cloud services. You will bring your experience to assist all teams with reducing the time required to launch a feature and providing the tools needed for developers to monitor uptime and performance.
Engineers in this position have solid fundamentals, are willing to learn new technologies, and can work effectively across teams.

- Build and maintain both an AWS cloud and on-prem infrastructure architecture aligning security, compliance, performance, and resilience with cost
- Build and maintain a monitoring solution that supports infrastructure and application logs
- Build and maintain a set of tools that enable developers to self-serve for most operational tasks
- Define and maintain a configuration management system
- Manage Core services such as JIRA, GIT, Jenkins, etc

Qualifications, Education, Years of Experience & Skills:
Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of DevOps experience
Extensive experience in automated testing of web applications and web services in a fast-moving and agile environment.
Experience in setting up and maintaining continuous integration and deployment and automation frameworks (Jenkins, Selenium, etc)
Hands-on work with configuration management, especially Terraform and Chef
AWS deployment, management, and incident diagnosis experience
Previous use of large scale monitoring and reporting tools (e.g. ELK stack)
Experience integrating with Alerting and Notifications tools (Pagerduty, etc)
Experience with Object Oriented Languages (Java, C#, etc)
A positive, constructive approach with an emphasis on collaboration and good execution
Hands on experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes
Agile experience with Scrum / Kanban / XP
Content delivery networking
Knowledge of Web and Application Servers such as: NGINX, Apache, and Tomcat
