We’re looking for an experienced software engineer to help build an automated CAD to full-physics robotics simulation pipeline. In this role, you’ll interface with cross-functional teams to rapidly design and deploy state-of-the-art robotic work cells to customer sites. This role will significantly impact RIOS’s digital geometry workflow, an essential part of scaling and growing the company.
Architect and implement workflows to automate the design of state-of-the-art robotic work cells.
Work with roboticists and vision experts to automate robotic work cell design validation for new customer applications.
Work closely with the RIOS data science team to structure and export CAD data for machine learning pipelines.
Understand requirements for internal and external manufacturing partners to enable quick-turn fabrication of work cells.
BS, Masters, or Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
Expert in C++ and/or Python.
3-5 years experience with modern CAD implementations, with the knowledge of accessing low-level data using APIs. Additionally, candidates with computer game design or AR/VR experience will be considered for the role.
An understanding of manufacturing techniques and how to make designs manufacturable given the constraints of various fabrication techniques.
